Chapter 41: And then.

The King’s scandal had finally come into light.

The first move had been made to clear out those who had been working previously under him.

“Ju-Julius-sama!”

“Oh, I will do those later, move on to the next agenda”

“Julius-sama! The neighboring’s countries….”

“….It has already been arranged. Oh, that is right—-”

Originally the one who had been supporting this country was the Prime Minister rather than the King himself, thus with the collaboration between the Prime Minister and his son, the situation within the country quickly calm down.

The next move should be made towards the neighboring’s Royalty.

“It seems that the King of that country will change soon.”

“—why couldn’t you gathered more Intel on it….”

“With the King’s gone, the country should weaken eventually.”

“-No, the new King seems to be more competent…”

The neighboring’s royalties which had always thought themselves as up and above started trying to meddle with the country.

However, Duke Diogenes quickly took the matter to his hand.

Originally, Duke Diogenes was the one who should inherited the throne and thus he had already established his connection with the neighboring’s Royalties.

With his abilities, he smoothly restricted the meddling of the other countries in the current political situation.

In the end, whether the King owned a huge magical power or not, there were no changes in the national power that need to be concerned off.

——

“As expected of Duke Diogenes.”

“It was nothing, Prime Minister. Your son, Julius, is also an exceptional lad.”

“You are being too polite. He is still have a long way to go.”

Duke Diogenes and the Prime Minister was talking quietly.

“I did not think that this matter will settle down so quickly.”

“That’s true, however, we still have lots of things to look over.”

The Prime Minister sighed as he looked over at the document in front of him.

“Even so, for Didion-sama to go this far…”

The documents rustled as it was turned over.

With it, the letter from Didion was lined up together.

———————————–

That Didion was currently moving towards the border of the country.

“Well then, which country should I go first?”

His head was currently full of thought about Leticia.

From now on, Leticia will no longer be harm by others..

And that was when Didion finally realized that he will never be able to meet her ever again after this… his most beloved person…..

——————-

“……What?”

“Th-That is, the abandonment of the engagement by Prince Daniel.”

“Are you stupid? Do you think that the King will forgive him?!”

“No, no. It was based solely on the judgement of Prince Daniel himself….”

It was a shocked that Didion had always been protecting Leticia.

And because of  that, that girl also need to be happy from now on.

“I see….—then.”

At that time, Didion had swore for his vengeance.

“From now on, this is the beginning of everything.”

——

“Should I go to the northern country?”

“North? For me, I preferred to go to the south.”

‘South? Hmm, the south is…”

Didion quickly turned to look over his back.

“Wa, eiii—-!”

“There are lots of delicious things in the south, right? So, south it is.”

“—Why!”

“Eiii? You did not want to eat something delicious?”

“That is not what I mean! –Princess!”

Didion said that as he grabbed Leticia’s shoulder.

“Right now, I am no longer a Princess.”

“What kind of nonsense are you talking about….Oh, have you become the Queen now?”

Didion thought that it a valid pretext for Leticia to be named as such based on her social position.

“You are wrong. I have decided to abandon it and come out here instead.”

“Wa!? Are you telling me some kind of a joke…?

Leticia should be marrying Julius and become the queen…. was what Didion had always assumed it to be.

“Even if I were to become the Queen, I will not be able to rule effectively. Therefore, I have decided to leave. And naturally, my father will assumed the position as the King, right?”
Right now, only Duke Diogenes had the qualification for the throne.

Didion crouched down as he tried to digest the current situation.

“Are you really going to abandon your own father?! Such a thing….”

“Ara? There is no way I am going to abandon anyone. Previously, Didion had always been telling me to be careful! … But the person who had always been tailing me is my father, right? Apart from his work, he seemed to have been watching over me for hours. Besides that, he had also been preparing for my birthday present every years. But I did not managed to receive any of it. Don’t you feel that there is something weird about it?”

Didion had no other choice but to swallow the words down.

Didion admittedly had played some tricks in order to ensure that those presents did not reach Leticia’s hand

“…. You will not be able to forgive me for doing that?”

“I can’t really help it, can I? Even though I was depressed that my fake father was slightly cruel to me, it was better than to be directly aimed by the King and my stepmother. Even my father cared about my well-being…”

I realized that even her father who always spotted an iron-like mask to hide his real intention also helplessly fawning over her.

“Then, why did that kind of father let you to come here all alone?”

“I came here to pick up the Prince.”

“P-Prince?”

“That’s right, Prince Didion.”

Because he had not been called like that in years, Didion could not help but felt embarrassed from it.

Leticia laughed when she saw his expression.

“I already cut off my relationship with the Royalty.”

Didion had promised Duke Diogenes that this time he will truly cut himself off from the Royal Family.

“That things is still under discussion.”

Didion’s eyes were wide opened.

“I mean, why are you so adamant to cut yourself off from being a Royalty?”

“Why is it, huh?”

“Mou, there is no one who going to find you unpleasant anymore, is there?”

Certainly that the father of his was no longer around.

“—I do not like you.”

Didion was so confused that he could not come out with a better excuse.

“That is a lie, right? I have heard about it from Julius.”

“Wha-….”

“Fuffuffu, everything!”

Leticia smiled widely.

“Since you are going to come back to the Royal family sooner or later, there is really no need for your name to be erase from the registry, don’t you think so?”

“–I am not going to return.”

“But, once you married me, you are still going to become a part of the royal family, right?”

“—-What!?”

“Didn’t you do all this things for my sake?”

Leticia knew the reason why Didion decided to abandon the Royal Family as well as the truth behind the uproar recently.

“I have heard about it. I am your first love, isn’t it? …Considering my age-”

“Stupid. Don’t say that anymore.”

Didion held his head on his palm.

He did not know where she had heard about it, however, it was the truth that his first love was Leticia.

“It is okay for me if you did not harbor the same feeling towards me now.—However, from now on, I want to stay together with Didion.

Leticia began to approach Didion.

“—Are you okay with that? Even though I myself unsure of where I am going end up from now on?”

“I’m okay with that. I am going to follow you to the end of the earth.”

Didion looked at Leticia in dazzled.

The girl who had always needed his protection had somehow grown into woman without his notice.

“…I am so stupid… I have decided to give up on you and disappear somewhere far. However with you here, there is no longer any need for me to go somewhere else….”

“Hmmm? Did you say something?”

“Nothing at all.”
“Then will you properly call my name?”

“–You, listen–!?”

Leticia giggled at him.

“I also like Didion.”

Didion quickly took initiative and hugged Leticia, and did not let her go for a long, long time.

A/N: Finshed.

It is thanks to everyone that I managed to complete this.

For the long support received, thank you very much.

T/N Owari!!!!!

Anyway, after finishing it, I realized there might be lots of places that I have mistranslated, so I hope that the meaning still come across.

There are about 9 chapters that still unedited. Initially, I thought of waiting for Aki to edit it first, but since it might took longer (I know that some University are currently on their Final Exam’s phase, mine also), Aki told me to post it first and Aki will come later to edit it.

And lastly, thanks to everyone for supporting and showing love for this story. Don’t forget to support the author. This is the end and though it was not perfect (Around 75%??!), I hope everyone enjoy it. Do not forget to follow my other translation on “Akuyaku Reijō ttenani o Sureba Yoi nda kke?”.  Till then. Ciao!!!

  1. Thanks for the stream of updates today, you’re the best!

And by this one, it’s the end for this story. Time to read another story.

  2. They’re a cute couple. So the revenge thing was all done by Didion. Quite the mastermind. I have a feeling Leticia might have knowledge from a previous life to have those ideas for the machines, but only knowledge not personal memories. Her father is also cool, but I wish Luka made another appearance when the new king got the throne. Luka would have cried for his onee-chan not to leave. This was enjoyable. Thanks for this.

    1. It is possible that the idea for the machine really was Didion’s but Leticia could break down the problems to a level that could be “programmed” into machines.

  3. I’m a bit shocked at how quickly everything turned out omg. Maybe it’s because of the huge mass release, but the story that I’d been quietly stalking until now ended just like that. O.o It’s true that the ending was cute but Q.Q some of the REVENGE parts that I was highly anticipating didn’t occur…like that STUPID prince Daniel. Although it’s mentioned that he was made to repay the incurred debt from Marianne’s spending, it just says he can’t and there’s nothing else. :/ And Marianne? What happened to her? To be abandoned by both Hydorossa and her mother is a given, but what happened after? Will she be convicted as a criminal for fraud and trying to usurp the throne? Will she also be made to pay back her debt? Will that absurd Duke be removed from nobility and turned into a commoner? AHHHHH!

  4. Thank you for sharing and the massive buttload of chapters today!

I look forward to the rest of the side chapters and other projects.

    How old is didion?

  5. so it was stockholme syndrome after all
this was kinda unsatisfying to read~
    thanks for diligently translating it~

  6. … DAMN…
I have a lot of questions and things were rather rushed at the end.
There… wasn’t really much description of the scenes.
Like cmon, jumps from letter, to the past(?), to present.
Literally just jumped around, i got so confused.
Where did Didion meet Leticia? Like their wasn’t a setting, they just met up and talked.
How does Leticia know all about Didion, why would Julius know all about Didion.
How long were they cohorts in this plan?
    like hello.
    Are there any extra chapters?

    1. it was said right, didion was the one who attached the collar/choker on leticia…… you can find didion’s intro by leticia’s monologue in the early chapters,,,,,,,,, Didion was considered a genius, who contributed many things to the kingdom…… their computing machines, dress making machine and such…… he made the blueprints based on the knowledge he got from letty….. like think of didion always making moves and scheming to protect letty since he found her again, so he already has plans; just the lacking a proper reason and situation to implement them

      1. Yes. I know that. It was all directly said, but what am implicitly implying is that. Their wasn’t THAT much context initially, and had to be reread a few times for me to correctly understand it (=p=) It was really rushed feeling these last couple of chapters, jumping from everywhere. Would’ve liked more context and detail to setting.

          1. My thoughts exactly, after reading this story and its rather intricate plot and delving and meshing storylines, they were all previously well developed and explained, but now, here at the end. Everything’s all rushed, pretty obvious, lack of setting detail, lack of clear linear timeline, and lack of a certain focus per chapter.
Each of the chapters near the end have all been all over the place. The past to the present then more past. And its not even about the past of the actual characters.
And I really liked this story too, highly disapointed by its ending considering how every other arc was well placed and made.

    2. They met the first time should be Royal castle garden. Him doing his homework and she running from her step mother.. I guess during this time she somehow have the knowledge of her previous life (Mat, computer and etc) but lost due to the trauma due to her step mother.
Unfortunately no, there is no extra.

      1. Oh she had trauma? Gosh, pretty hard to figure out lol, all we got that somewhat implied it, was when she had trouble remembering her childhood.
Geez, and that only lasted about 2 sentences and then bam, she gets transferred to a new mansion.
It was also confusing when they were at the new house, like Leticia appeared unwilling about everything, but next scene change it shows up as, “I’ve known Didion and I trust him, but this Didion ia not the one I know.” Like DAMMMMMmnnn. Does that not imply something more about to happen?
Next thing we know, she’s in a room, for who knows how long, (seriously how long was she at that mansion, it seemed to be days at most, for she was sitting comfortably in her room)
Julius comes in “explaining” things to her, really doesn’t explain much. Then next scene she finds Didion and asks to go home. But he is all cold to her. Uh, why is he cold to her?
And why did it suddenly end up with him as the mastermind lol.
Thats how it happened, like wow.

  7. I wish they would have milked the downfall of Marianne and Daniel for all it was worth. I have an unhealthy obsession with people getting their just desserts.

    1. god same
theres so many people in this story that need their just desserts. Most of em didnt even get punished either. everyone from diogenes to daniel and not to mention mariannes mother just disapears

      1. I’m really curious on what happened to all the villians of the story. But we can already guess what happened to the prince and the duke hydra.

Prince is probably working slave labor to pay back his debt and hydra probably lost his noble status and fined as well.

  8. If there were any errors, it was barely noticeable. Granted it’s almost 4am where I’m at right now.
Thanks for your hard work in translating this to the end!

  9. Thank you for the roller coaster of emotion, laugh and surprise.
Hope your and Aki’s exam gone right!

This is the first novel that I followed from first chap release into the end. I’m also thankful for that
    Leticia’s will be missed.

  10. I’m not sure if I missed something but if mc and guy leave then isn’t the kingdom doomed without their magic suppliers?

  11. Thank you for the series!
It was good and yet somewhat unsatisfing. With how some things felt like it came out of no where and how Marriane and her parents kind of disappeared in the background. I kind of wanted to see their fates and thoughts on how it came to it.

  12. The ending is a bit anti-climactic, but thank you very much for translating this novel all the way to the end.

It’s not your fault as you are the translator and not the author, but I would have loved to see the tribunal thing used a bit more than that, to make better use of the whole make-believe thing that was going on with the royalty and all that.

Anyway, it was a decent novel and I was always happy when I saw it pop up in novel update, so once again, thank you for the continued translation.

  13. Hmm. The way author wrote it felt like the story became a bit rushed at some point in time. I still enjoyed it, but sometimes it felt like chapters were missing.

    Thank your hard work!

  14. Thank you for bringing us this series! It was great from the beginning to end! Wish there were some extras or an epilogue. ^^

Since you’ve finished this series, I was wondering if you take any requests? If so, would it be possible to translate “Akuyaku Reijou wa Ringoku no Oitaishi ni Dekiai Sareru”? It’s kind of similar to this series, and is very fluffy (so far).

Either way, thank you so much!
    Much love!

    1. Hi!! Thank you for your support!! Currently I have two main works on my hand which are Akuyaku Reijo Ttenani and Mochiron! so it might take me a while to add another series.. Anyway do check out my other translation works !!! 🙂 thanks for visiting my site~

  15. Soooo…
The thing that stuck with me the most in this novel.
I think the author may have a hair fetish.
    Just saying…

  16. Quite confusing at the very beginning but turned out well at the end.
    It was a good read.
    Thanks for the translation!
